Description

I wanted to create something to test out reflections with Iray rendering.  The water surface was made by following Shibashake's water shader tutorial (thinkdrawart.com/water-shader-…).  I added a sandy plane underneath and canted it sideways to create the beach.  Everything was converted to Iray shaders and then tweaked extensively.  Gloss was turned up on the skin, hair, and rock to give a wet look.

As it turned out, I spent most of my time learning how to use HDR images with Iray and trying to get the sand to look appropriate.

Very nice and I like your workflow explained. I'm new to Daz Studio (Poser/Octane user) so any tips and tricks are extremely useful.  Maybe you could create a tutorial based on what you did here? Many of us have a hard time getting water, pool, or ocean renders to look realistic.  In any case, a very well done render.  :-)
